realistically speaking chances that cebu will be earthquake epicenter is very unlikely, negross oriental is most likely, according to recent survey (kit-an nako sa TV) by JICA that ang mo collapse nga building lowrise and old building since wala kaayo na ma klarog planing, most modern skyrise will survive (aslong they follow earthquake prof design)... they are built to withstand earthquake... and BTW philippines is already due sa "BIG ONE" according to JICA/PhilVocs-DOST...

look at cebu and refer to the color table, we are not protected by earthquake coz we are litterally sourounded by faultlines as the whole archipelago is sourounded by it
but it is very impossible that cebu will be the epicenter...

my wife's hometown is very much likely to be hit by strong earthquake...

main thought sa akong post was simple 9.0 quake to hit Cbu is Unimaginable - meaning, maigo man gani ta ani impas na tanan ntong buildings and structures.

tinuod wla ta masud ug fault line but that doesn't mean we can't have that 9.0 magnitude. we don't need to be the epicenter to get 9.0

sa ako nang gi example 1991. Baguio gt hit by 7.0 we gt 6.0 (now these facts maybe wrong bt somewhere in that range) and that lasted for less than a minute with 3 or 4 minor Aftershocks. what happened that time? naliki nang SM.

so now comes quake that has 9.0 which the TS ask for What IF's we gt one. ang tubag...akong balikon mapulpog tanang building/structures nato. salamat
