Why some pinoys in the US discriminate their fellow pinoys?

... because of the filipino's almighty trait of CRAB MENTALITY . They ( the selfish pinoys ) dont want their countrymen to succeed coz they fear that they will be overthrown. You don't have to look far, even some of our provinces exhibit this shameful trait.

that's how it is silingan if you're living in a country where "success" is always the name of the game.. it's so sad to think why pinoys in the US are always at the forefront of discrimination.. and to think, angay unta ta ninyo mag tinabangay coz kita-kita ra gud ang naa diri.. i simply don't understand why pride always swallow them whole when they had the chance to become professionals or rich..

is it because of their status? ang naka pait pa jud.. once they get to leave US and go back to the Philippines, grabe sad kaayo mu discriminate thinking that yeah, i'm from america blah blah blah...

i have to agree.. naa jed pinoy nga ingon ana... naa gali mi silingan sauna nga nalarga lag manila (take note manila pa gali na), 3 ka buwan ra siya nagstay ngadto unya nipauli kay gimingaw sa ilaha sa cebu.... saonz nga dili nmn hapit kamao mobinisaya nuon kay magsige nag tagalog.. dili gali ko ganahan magtagad2x atong tawhana kay may paghambugeroon sad....... grabe jed nig mga pride ingon ani nga tawo...


maypa siguro ning mga insik kay bisan asa na sila lugara maabot kun magkakita na sila, magtinabangay jed na sila...

Mao lagi na. We need to change our mentality too. Moingon ah... naa gyud na, it's nothing new to me. Nga dili man unta ta helpless against these people capitalizing on pinoys and magdiscriminate pa gyud. Naa man tay balaod nga mo protect sa workers, bisan gani wala pa na hire naa gihapo'y right to complain against discrimination. Nana man ta's America. Abi ninyo after ato nga phone call, nakaana ko ahaka gyud diay aning mga pinoy, di na pud ko magbinuotan sa mga klase ni "norma". Lisud man diay nang naa kay faith sa goodness sa taw. Aw, the next time minalditahan pud naku siya. Ingon pa sa akong manghod, don't be scared to express what you feel.

Ang ila gyung feeling taaaaas kaayo sila. They destroy dignity. Nindot kaayo i-organize ug organization to help spread awareness against discrimination within our filipino communities.

Ingon pa sa akong bana, ngano kunong mga pinoy nga dili man kuno magtinabangay? Awa nang mga spanish di ba mas united pa kaayo. African-americans... united pud kaayo. Mga pinoy ra man ang mag-iniyahay. God! We people need to change! Bantay lang ba. Mauwaw man pud ta's pagka BUGO ug pagka IMMATURE sa atong fellow pinoys. Pakauwaw lang sila.

Mag away away gani ang mga Pinoy about lang sa SRP (South Reclamation Project), how much more if naka adto na sa US? Lets pray for a miracle nga ma change ang attitude sa mga pinoys.

Ambot lang pod ha maam NGEL .. but I know what your sentiments are , I never had an ORDEAL of it because its not that I havent EXPERIENCED one but I make sure it wont HAPPEN to me . It will never HAPPEN to me though a lot of incidents already happened getting to the point of fellow Filiipino's , like I said I never let them step on me .

I make sure all the time , THEY WILL ALWAYS NEED ME and NOT THAT I NEED THEM .

When I was in active duty , I prefer a command where I am the only FIlipino , I dont mind also being the only islander or asian . FIlipinos are known to be so MATERIALISTIC no offense to KAPAMPANGANS and CAVITENOS , SUPERIOR MEnTALITY no offense to the MANILENOS , ambot unsay negative sa BISAYA for the majority . From that mentality comes JEALOUSY and ENVY , BACKSTABBING and BADMOUTHING , STEPPING on SOMEONE else and LOOKING them DOWN like their fellow kababayans are the BOTTOM of the BARRELS ... too sad nakatilaw ug dollar mga hilas na kaayo murag mga di ra ba utangero ug utangera kadtong naa pa sila sa Pilipinas .

My advice , padong pa lang gani na sila mo yabag , SUPOHA na dayon , ingna pareho ra ta na BALIKBAYAN ug mo bakasyon sa Pilpinas . Murag wala sad kay payag sa ato-a da na gi upgrade na ug semento kay nakatrabaho ka ug 7/11 or McDo .

wow, i wasn't aware na ingon ani diay diha... every time im there visiting, i'm always surrounded by helpful, friendly pinoys who really, as in, really go out of their way to help me out... i didn't know there was another side to the coin... thanks for exposing this, now i know better...

tsk.. so sad to think jud nga naa ghapon ng crab mentality sa pinoy bisag asa nimo ibutang.. i think the only secret formula to that is LEARN HOW TO DEAL with people like that.. you can never teach an old dog a new trick..
