pero malay natin pag mu take advantage na ug dual core ang mga games.then pentium D might be useful

(my asus mobo got destroyed thru short circuit because I tried to use an old printer not used for a number of years... Printer worked fine but when I turned off the pc, removed the printer and restarted, pc no has no more display) I don't know if naay possibity nga maka daot ni sa ako other hardware and power supply aside from the mobo nga nadaot.. Though ga function raman tanan nako hardware and power supply with the new mobo and proc.

Some effects of the change I noticed:
* opening of programs and start up I feel is improved.
* other games aside from nba live 2006: matrix path of neo, age of empires 3, prince of persia 2 feels like it improved pero just a little ra
* nba live 2006 loads way longer than the previous setup. My previous setup paspas jud kayo mu load and walay drag during gameplay using 1024x768 resolution and high detail settings. Ang new setup nako aside sa dugay mu load, mu drag pajud during gameplay when naay messages that pop up (ex. Set plays, or calls of the referee)
* I have 2 windows installers, 1 is xp service pack 1, the other is windows 98... Wala jud ni paltos with my last setup... With my new setup, both installers dili jud kalahos, cge naay cannot copy this file properly. (i dont know if this has something to do with the new mobo)
Didto nuon kos store naka pa install with pay.

testingi kuno ug padagan imong memory ug hinay. kung naka ddr400 ka ron testingi kuno ug mga ddr200 lang. unya testingi kung makainstall naka ug windows.

If games imong ganahan sir and if you're loyal to Intel...then go to Pentium Extreme Edition. =) Pentium D is dual core but doesn't have Hyper Threading features..unya if you bought a Pentium D 2.0+Ghz. walay na usab sir..its like 2.0+Ghz ka nag hyper threading.


Kung mahalan ka sa Pentium XE...but a 3.0+Ghz nga Hyper Threading...you'll see its better.

uhmmmm.... my problem seems to be that i was contented with the performance of my last setup. then tungod naguba ang mobo i was forced to change dayun to what was available na dayun. what i cant understand is nganu mas maayo mu perform tong last nako nga in fact mas taas man ug specs ako gipuli... although sa nba live 2006 ra nako na proven.

probably is the board... it was Asus..unya karon ECS.
And grabe na ka init ang Pentium D, the more init ang proc...mas mo hinay ang performance sir....if you don't have intake and exhaust fans, plus stack lang imong heat sink.. i think you have buy some...

@djereza, yup i also suspect that bcoz. nalibog nako if ako paba ni i-modify ang setup nako or agwantahun ra ni dayon mag setup nalang kog lain.. pero if mag setup kog lain. murag madugayduday pa coz i still need to come up with some funds.

ako guess is that may kinalaman ang motherboard sa hindi pag install ng mga windows xp installers ko. kay wala gud ni palpak sa una. tama ba?

is there a possibility of incompatibilty between os installers and mobos?
