First Electronica Album:
• Arkarna - Fresh Meat
- Bought the record 2nd year high. I always thought electronic music was downright stupid. I actually thought Arkarna was a heavy rock band at first, and after buying and listening to this album, I was disappointed. VERY disappointed. They were an electronic band similar to Prodigy. I locked away the tape. Only a couple of months ago did I decide to listen to the album again, and to my surprise, I loved EVERY TRACK OFF IT. Well, I was actually beginning to like techo/trance/house in my college years. I think this album is the most UNDERRATED electronic album. I can't even download most tracks of a p2p engine. :P

yep. Electronic. Ang naka-"ROCK" ra gyud nila kay ang distorted guitars ra gyud. Most drumbeats are loops, there are tons of samples/hits in their tracks. If you notice, "So Little Time" contains drumloops, synths, etc. This song together with "Eat Me" are really the only ones closest to be defined as rock songs. The rest of the tracks are dominated by trance, house, even ambient at times. I never had the chance to buy their sophomore album. sayang.

My favorite off Fresh Meat is "Born Yesterday part I".

oiii... i first listened to A-ha & the Dawn kay mao na fave bands sa ako kuya when i was still in grade school... Mao ra toh.. Then fans na dayon ko sa the Dawn.. But i also listened to Cindi Lauper & Madonna, kay mao pud paminawon sa akong ate before... When I was in first year high school, i started playing the guitar, mao to palit² dayon ug song hits... Minaw na dayon ko ug Erasure & Ace of Base hahaha Then later on, explore dayon ko unya ang uso ato sauna kay DYRT yaaaaahhhhh!! Bwehehehe mao to, i started listening to heavier stuffs.. Gi encourage pud ko sa akong friends apil² banda² , but i started as a song-writer for my friend's "way klaro nga high school band" .. Senior high na ko start ug banda²

I learned about Rock music from my cousin. He was in high school then and his band would usually meet in our backyard.

one day he told me to listen to their composition and I fell in love with the song. I was really awed by my cousin's band's ability... Later on, i found out that it was U2's I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.

then I started looking for albums and listening to DYRT.
