These aircraft are very well-designed and are known to be extremely reliable and fuel-efficient.
To my recollection, this is the first fatal crash (if it did indeed crash, which is likely) of an A330 in passenger service.
indeed, im an avid fan of airbus planes...i really admire the redundancy of the systems they incorporate to each and every design of their airplanes...airbus planes are indeed, as said by sir tarmac, extremely reliable...if ever airbus planes ever encounter some incidents, the very reason behind it could be either natural or environmental factors or if not, human error...
