ants in hdd = destroyed hdd

i wonder what attracts the ants.

I have ants on the following...
- AVR (the usual problem)
- my television is already eaten, broken na tube, after bayron at the back of the television, all the ants came out. that i knew why my tv is "being eaten alive".
- my camera, overnight became a nest for the ants. there are still ants in between the lcd and the protective glass. most of the dead ants inside the camera never came out. couldnt open the camera.

any idea why it's attracted to these electronic stuffs?

ay nako, mga bro, bantayi ninyo inyung keyboards, kay ants loves to live inside the keyboard, ganahan kaayu sila sa mga "rubber" nga naa sa ilalum sa kada keys, kitkitun na nila hangtud sa ma podpod. 3 keyboards na nako ang gi destroy sa mga damn ants, diferent places pod. to be safe, buy mo ug ANT CHALK, naa kana sa grocery, tag 20 pesos ra. its a must for every computers (just like thermal paste! hehe) palibuti ninyo ug ant chalk ang kilid kilid sa inyung table. (but remembr mu hupas ang power sa chalk, so u must re apply atleast every two months). asta gani akung super-bag-o nga palit nga generic power supply sa-una, gi puy-an pod ug hulmigas, as pod ang taas sa hardisk, gi himu nila nga cemeterio, didto nila gipang ipon ang ilang mga patay hheheh

bitaw, lisud nang ingana, maka-guba jud og Computer stuffs, but I'm wondering why they attack Computers and not other electronic stuffs, like TV, Electric Fan, Speakers, Mouse, etc.?
unsa kaha naa anang Computer parts, especially HDD, that they love to eat/chew..?

hmm.. i also noticed black ants (like those ants nga naa sa mga lansones), cge latay sa mga cable wires (hehe kana sa poste gani para cable sa tv).. maybe jus their path though hehe

it happened to me last time sad sa akong 10gb hdd, mao pa ni pnakataas nga capacity b4
gihulmigas lang ang hdd nga pwerting mahala pa

ang hinungdan dili pagkaon kundi namatyan ra ug mananap sa sulod
pwerting dugok sa ulmigas.
