Thread: Gaza war

Yes they did. They did give an ultimatum. Its foolish to think na tanan civilians mapull out. Some leave, some will always stay (out of necessity or support).

Hamas' charter calls for the eradication the State of Israel. That pretty much is clear ngano in conflict sila. Now for a Palestinian political party whose agenda is the very destruction of the State of Israel, I would say klaro pud why Israel reacts the way it does.

it seems that majority of the civilians never had the chance to pull out, most of them are trapped. Israel should wait. But sadly they cant wait, their bombs hit a UN school. They know the coordinates, what were they thinking?

Well, its because the State of Israel specially the Zionist are making unfair economic policies against Palestine. Israel after withdrawing from Gaza are still controlling Gaza externally. They are blocking air space and ports, made unfair economic sanctions. What solutiuon is left for Hamas? Fight and eradicate this greedy state.

as usual, ngita nasad og gubot ning mga extremist that are being supported by some nation who'd love to see this war going on.. this will of course spike the prices of fuel again in the coming days. marunong man sad kaayo ning mga hamas kay adto manago sa mga civilian populated area either arun di sila birahan or nay mapagan inorder to draw sympathy from other nations.. tiga Bayan-Muna ay ga rally dayun against ani sakay dayons issue.

hamas made the first move and attacked israel. they always thought that the blame would go to israel bec they are too small to be pinpointed as the perpetrators. and think also that israel is surrounded by countries who are allied with hamas so they always have the nerve to attack first.

hamas is using the civilians as shields and i think its under the geneva convention where any military units will not use civilians as source of protection. any recognized military unit follows this rule. and now if hamas wont heed to this rule, thus i consider them not an organized military of a country but rather a terrorist. we all know terrorists love to hurt civilians. its the hamas thats putting the citizens in danger. why fire rockets or mortars in populated buildings? thats because they couldnt afford to die firing rockets in the open. the high tech weapons systems of israel would pinpoint them in seconds. if i am a hamas fighter, would i risk my family firing mortar rounds in my backyard? just plain stupidity. well... if thats the case, maybe he and his family want to die as martyrs, the usual thinking of a hardcore fanatic.

if im in the shoes of the israelis, i would retaliate. i just dont sit there and watch rockets destroying and killing my people too. eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. just watch those palestinian boys throwing rockets or using slingshots against israeli soldiers. couldnt anyone think where or what their parents are doing or were they even reprimanded of doing such acts? i bet they were encouraged to do those things.

all in all, this fighting has been going on even during the time of Jesus. its really up to them to resort for peace. a lot of countries has already brokered for peace but this really has no sight for an end.

they are not using the civilains as sheild. Dont be a victim of propaganda. They are firing from a place where there are civlians.

Israel is destroying the economy of Gaza by blocking ports and air space. Economic sanctions were made against Gaza. UN is calling for the stoppage of this sanctions but Israel,USA,EUROPE wont listen.

They are destroying Gaza not by mortars and bombs but through hunger and deprivation w/c i think is more brutal than a military actions.

Those rockets that were fired by hamas were messages to Israel to stop their unfair external control over Gaza because it is killling their economy and when economy is loss lives are loss too. I call that economic terrorism.

that aint propaganda. thats guerrilla style fighting. fight like a soldier and afterwards blend with the population. this is not the first time. its been done by the vietcong. its even done by the insurgents in Iraq.

theres no other way to fight a highly modernized army than to fight unconventionally.

what im saying is...The propaganda is, that Hamas are USING civilians as shields. When you say a statement like that the picture that comes to mind is that they are tying the civilians around their bodies and military stuctures.

let me post an article so we can have an idea...

In March 2006, adding to the depth of the crisis, Israel began to withhold tax revenues from the Palestinian Authority in protest of the Hamas government and halted much of the *****eral aid, grants and loans provided by the IMF, World Bank and other international institutions. Recently, Israel has called upon the World Bank to cease operations entirely in the strip. Actively working against the recommendations of international experts, Israel has maintained strict control over all border regimes in place prior to disengagement, ignored a US-backed plan to ease restrictions on movement, and began construction of a new perimeter fence around Gaza's border. Moreover, numerous economic development projects have withered on the vine. Israeli bulldozers and Palestinian looters destroyed the remaining sections of the Eretz Industrial Estate, which had previously earmarked for renovation, and frequent closure policies caused the much-touted Palestinian greenhouse project to end in failure. [18] Today, all border crossings but the Erez Checkpoint on the Israeli-Gazan border have been sealed, blocking the transfer of all but "essential" goods. Given that only a handful of Palestinians are permitted to leave Gaza through Erez, the closure has effectively imprisoned 1.4 million people. Israeli policies have deliberately counteracted many of the hopes for economic recovery in Gaza
