In all seriousness, I think a lot can be blamed on our poor public school system. They just don't get enough funding and resources to train, educate, and challenge our young students enought to think outside the box. They deserve better if we want them to better equip themselves on the rapid changing world.

And yes, telecommunication medium can also do their part, but it doesn't help when a local noontime show are asking questions to contestants like... "Anong numero ang namamagitan sa tres at sinko!" Geebuz my head hurts.
