Are Filipinos mayabang in nature?

I don't believe that Filipinos are mayabang in NATURE, we are just influenced by other nationals/countries.........i would rather say that FILIPINOS are HUMBLE in NATURE

Dili man cguro hambugero or mayabang, gusto lang pirme "in" maski out na diay to sa budget...

Pero dil tanan mga dude, as what i have observe, like here in cebu, sa celphone mas hitech man gani cellphone sa katabang kay sa sa iyang amo, and like in mindanao in remote areas mas hi tech man celphone sa bakero kaysa mga naay stable ug trabaho, same also in bacolod and Iloilo,

so we must accept na na inani na gyud ang trend dire sa pilipinas... if we think na hambugero, kaprechoso or whatsoever na sila so be it... as long as dili lang magbuhat ug dautan para sa kaprecho...

"Mayabang" transcends all races. it's not only us "Filipinos" but it's true to all the human race. it's because most of us are not privy to cultures and traditions of other people of other races that we think "Filipinos are mayabang" when the truth is, all the human race have tendencies to be one. take for instance, some African Americans who basically live on government issued cards ie food stamps, coupons and lone star cards (TX) have "ESCALADES" for wheels.



you're wondering, i paid taxes for my hard earned money so these guys can survive while they're out of jobs for a certain time but what do they do in return? buy expensive stuffs (07 cadillac escalade price tag:$60k) that middle income families don't even dream of having. it's kinda sickening to see their kids go to public schools while the parents pamper themselves with these high end stuffs. if this is not "mayabang" then i don't know what is. I agree, we "Filipinos" borrow money to buy celfones, pda's or to celebrate fiesta's. but it's not too late, all we need to do is set our priorities straight and we'll overcome this blemish in our society. i hope it would be sooner rather than later. (knock on wood)

maybe...but filipinos are also more than just "mayabang"....

malambing...karinyosa/so ....we have very strong family values....we help each other readily...we see hope inspite of our tragic situations...and we know how to celebrate life...

and also ...kon naa ta blema we buy beer and talk it out with friends...di ka cuarta psychiatrists/therapists sa pinas....
