I was asking kay Ive never been able to keep more than one in my tank for long. The dominant male will always ... uh... dominate (owning, first blood, double kill, triple kill, godlike. hehehehe).

OT, naka kita naka ug KNO3?
Ive been to carbon and tabo-an, wala gyud ko kakita. I havent been to meat processing stores kay wala ko kahibaw asa.

Kenny - nakalimot nako sa akong chemistry sa college but I think this is Potassium Nitrate which is the main ingredient sa paghimo ug dynamite. Hope dili ta mag suicide bomber ini ha!!!

Potassium nitrate para fertilizer. This conveniently supplies both potassium and nitrogen.

And it is somewhat explosive but not as much as ammonium nitrate or TNT (trinitrotoluene).

yep, potassium nitrate. nangita mi ani para fertilizer sa among planted aquarium. kay if CaNO3 amu gamit ma sakit mi sa Calcium, we need to do frequent waterchange, sir soggy can further explain. hehehe thanks. btw, gamay ra jud nga quantity amo kinahanglan. 3/4 kilo would last a year sa amoa.

@kenny, just doing my research. Im sure you studied this in chem sa college nimo.

    Ive been thinking about this...
Basing sa formula sa calcium nitrate sa net which is Ca(No3)2(H20)4... ang calcium part is only 17%.
Gamay ra gyud. I apologize for throwing you off track sa calcium content sa calciun nitrate.

In terms of gH, it takes 17.9 ppm more calcium or magnesium para mo saka ug one gH. I can dose twice to thrice a week and dili pa mo saka ug one gH ako tubig.
    Assuming saksto ang "fertilator"...
    hth...

P600 man ako palit sa tanan chemicals. good for 6 months. KSO4, MgSO4, FeSO4, CaNO3, green gold soft and granulated starter ferts for substrate.

hmmm.. i had that fertilator sa PC nako.. maybe my younger bro uninstalled it. grrr...

Kulang ug phosphate iyang gi baligya. and FeSO4 is useless by itself unless you add chelators but i might be wrong.
