emo bands sound and look alike... ironically, the musicianship of most emo bands is mediocre and the lyrics predictable, overplayed, heard-it-before... its "angry" music will a lot of anger but not depth. in my generation "angry music" wa grunge or pure punk. but even with that anger there was some purpose. The music wasn't the typical "i-hate-everybody ranting. Grunge was "emotional rock" with real emotions not just a bunch of angry middleclass whiteboys who knew 3 chords who hated their parents because they got a nissan instead of a lexus, hated school because their friends did and hated everything because it was fashionable but appart from that really didn't knew exactly why...

i guess emo was just a fad. ..as well as those other genres we discriminated bfore that. but its not like we dont listen back to them eventually. like rap-metal, i used to listen to alot of rap-metal bands before but then i got sick of it. and punkrock too. newer bands that follow are just too cheesy.

fad fad fad!! we just hate it when it gets too trendy bcause then everybody wants to get in on it. and the newbies just ruin it for you. thats why alot of new emo bands suck bcus they're just in it along for the ride.

but cheers to artists who make the ride.
