Pentium 4 3.06GHz = 25,000++

might as well compare the price difference between the two processor:

athlon xp3200+ as against an intel p4 2.4C

performance wise both are same level except for gaming wherein the xp is better..
and come to think of it even adding an nforce2 ultra board for the athlon and 875 chipset for the intel system and you might end up paying more for the athlon system... on the overclocking side, the p4 2.4c is best known for its overclocking feature specially if partnered with an 875mobo.

don't get me wrong but i am an amd supporter but seeing how the current top end athlon processor's performance and the pricing, pathetic.

testing kuno side by side ang athlonXP 3000+ against the Pentium 4 2.4C.... tanawa kung asay mas kusog. Kanang parehas ug HDD, Vcard, Scard, RAM module, etc... (except lang sa mobo kay lahi man jud nang socket A kaysa 47 Testingi jud tanan applications, gikan sa boot-up hangtod sa shutdown ug apil pa brown-out. Suwayi lang ninyo before trying to compare Gigs vs Gigs sa Athlon & Pentium. Diba you'll end up scratching your head... ngano mas kusog ang 2.2Ghz XP3000 kaysa 2.4Ghz Pentium. ako na ning gi suwayan sa manila. Question is... ngano man? ngano kaha? naglibog nako. :mrgreen:

honestly..............if i can afford to buy the fastest CPU in the market i will buy no matter what brand it is or the purpose be........

i think the best concern here is....do you have the money to buy the fastest cpu?

my cpu now is AMD.......but guys i tell u this honestly..........this is only what can i afford to buy............if GOD rains money in my backyard..............i will buy a cpu as big as my house is.............no laughing please!!!!!!!!!

lol... good one teba, I'll do the same thing. But I always for AMD and now trying to save some bucks to purchase another rig. AMD 64 would be my next definite purchase... Sana nga uulan ng pera! hehehhe

just my observation... AMD seems to be faster when running 3d games,an some applications.. but with my experience, INTEL seems to have a better real-world performance than AMD... my basis is that INTEL seems to be faster when accessing multiple applications,better memory handling, better subsystem response (especially accessing IDE drives & cdroms ), and u dont nid too much accessories just to keep it running long time & doesnt nid a lot of maintainance to do... kaso lang is that INTEL is MAHAL.. MURA and AMD....

Both manufacturers have their own distinct qualities nga ma differ jud cla with one another.... ma class, ma processing power, ma price issues, ma performance issues... they both have their own qualities that's why this debate could not end this will go on and on and on....

at least we users are the ones benefited with this.... better products to choose from
