Emotion and hysteria - Filipino movies always have "drama" in it.. The actors quarrel each other with excessively loud voices paired with fake tears and corny lines. Like, "Huhuhu.. Bakit mo ito ginagawa sa akin!!? Bakiiiiiiit!! Ayoko na sayoo!"
Oh, and don't forget the cheek slap. *Whappaaak!* And then the character goes on crying..
drama scene...mag storyahay...nya ang usa mutalikod dayon (atubang sa camera)...padayon storya
When it comes to Pinoy films of love stories or romance comedies, I noticed the formula:
1. Boy meets girl
2. Boy and girl get close.
3. The new lovers split due to a misunderstanding or a sudden development
4. Boy and girl try to get over frustration of breaking up and try to move on
5. Before the film ends, the boy and girl suddenly get together and start loving each other
Has anyone been watching Pinoy movies recently? Noticed any more cliches?
