I'm 5'7... I weigh 210 lbs... I used to be 240 but then I started working out and jogging at abellana everyday(4am in the morning)...
Maximums?
i can do 200lbs benchpress on my heavy day... and on my other chest day I only go for 120-100-80 lbs double drop sets..
i can do 190 lbs half quats on heavy day... normally at 120-140...
i can do 170 lbs on deadlifts....
the rest of my days and my other excercises I go for double drop sets with X reps...
sa benchpress mka abot rko anang 200 if I have a spotter... kung wala, 160-180 ra akong makaya depende sa energy ana na day...
what are your opinions on Drop Set then X Reps? Angay na pra sa overweight person nga nag try ug lose/tone?

Heavy on heavy day...
5'8 and my weight fluctuates between 190 and 200lbs these days (especially the holidays). target weight would be 170 on regular workout days, usually, i'd be able to do 6-12 reps of about 80% of those 1RM's mentioned above. on certain days, i'd practically forget about how much weight i can lift and go for maximum reps (mostly 20). never mind how much you can lift basta importante naa kay exercise. in fact, months ago, i left my ego at the gym's door and go for lighter weights and use strict form rather than lift heavy but with a lot of body movement and jerking.. bahalag kataw an tas uban.. surprisingly, i can still do the heavy sets using strict forms basta sakto las warm up.Originally Posted by Onins
i do squats, bench press/dumbbell press and deadlifts twice a week... on leg days, i do squat, leg press, leg curl/extension, seated/calf raises and on other days, squat ra tanan combined with other muscle group. sa chest, i'd do all barbells bench/incline/decline/flyes/pullover and cables and then on other days, i'd hit 'em using all dumbbells variations... i'd usually hit smaller muscle with this one like the triceps, biceps and forearms. deadlift is combined with all the back exercises.
as to squats, i always do it pass parallel meaning all the way down... mas igo ako quads doing that...
ok raman siguro bisan unsa nga program for overweight person basta importante, kung ganahan ka mo lose og weight, control sa kaon and do some cardios on other days.. as for me, my goal is to always get the weights up meaning asa kutob akong lahutay... for next year, 300 will be my favorite number![]()
as for me lately i'm doing more reps(12-15)... apas nako is functional strenght...
