ur right but it depends on the power supply ur using (350watts or 600watts) most AMD users even use 600watts just to add pogi pc points even thou they dont need it

using a high end PSU is NOT for pogi points alone. lets see you run a X2 with 2 other SLI or Xfire cards and 4 sata harddrives on that 350w PSU =p

wat i mean is the basic proc setup dude, not high-end competitive set-up, and wat i mean is for those pogi points for those people who buy high wattage psu w/ only less harware in the Rig Crib yo.. (0_o)....

unlikely kaayo na mahitabo ang low end mo palit ug uber PSU, coz even high end system owners dont bother to get a good PSU .

higher wattage is always better when it comes to power supply even if the cpu is not high end or doesn't have a lot of components inside. bigger headroom so dii hago ang psu. even sa amps, dili ma hago ang unit at those times when it suddenly needs to draw more power so resulting in cleaner sound. dili pud dali no init ang amp which i think is the same as with the psu.

on the contrary...i low cheap power supply that can produce a 300W with an efficiency of 50% vs a high end 600W with an efficiency of 80% will net you cheaper electricity bill.
and yes..high end system owners do buy high end power supply(well..maybe not all but most of the people i know do)
