i have a 512 mb usb sandisk minicruzer as gift from my cousin in the US... suddenly it stop responding when I plugged it on my other cousin's computer.. i really dont know what happen, so i email the tech support of sandisk in the US. Since its still covered by warranty they were willing to have it replaced. So i shipped it back to their HQ then after a month they gave me a new one!!! And then after about 3 months of using it, the newly replaced flash drive failed on me again... i dont know what happen since i only used it for file transfers of my files from the office to my home... and to think its not been fully used.. just about half of its capacity was used.

Now im really thinking if buying a new one is really worth my money.. kay mora raman dali ra maguba... tpos they dont have alot of components to be replaced kailangan dyud na mopalit dyud ka og brand new... mas nindot pa siguro mo palit og MMC with separated MMC reader kay kung maguba sya pwede raman nimo mapalitan or ma upgrade.. tpos pwede pud magamit sa uban gadgets especially digital cameras... I think its more worth it!!!

palit na lang sa cheapest na ilado nga brand kay bisan kad2ng mga mahalon, naa man gihapon mga defective kay dili na man na maka apas ilang QC, ang consumer naman gud part of the R&D process tungod sa ka paspas sa innovations sa ocompetition. At least kung madaot, ang cheap ones dili kaayo sakit, ang thumb drives dili man sab pareho ka critical sa mmc, sd cards or ram, nga you need very fast performance, like kanang gamiton sa mga digicam na the faster maka write, the faster sab makashoot ug balik ang cam, or sa ram nga importante ang true speed para sa performance sa imong pc. For file transfer purposes, mura ra na ug 5400rpm vs. 7200rpm nga HD mas dugay rag gamay cuz unsa ra man ang file size imong ma transfer, 1gig?
China ra gud gihapon na cla

flash drives are like cars, you can have a kia, a suzuki supercarry, a toyota corolla, a honda city , a BMW 525, an MB S-class, or a porche 911. they all get you from point A to point B and will break down from time to time. If you need speed go for the porche, if you need style, go for the BMW or MB, if you want everyday use and nothing much in performance, get the kia, corolla or a city. Its up to you to find out which flash drive is like which car brand.

preng joel... ur right they were assembled/manufactured in China... i guess it speaks of their quantity not quality... And I guess on my own experience.. tagam nako anang USB drive.. since its easily disposable!!! And I vote for mobile hard drive nalang like the once used for laptops... anyway ur budget is 5K.. its absolutely worth the price.. and very mobile too

And dont forget now is the time to buy tech stuff since most stores have an annual inventory for their "old stuff" so their willing to sell their items a bit cheaper than a month ago. Coz they are preparing for the "latest" products that they will sell this christmas.. so now is the right time to buy one!!! Think economics pre... hehehe
