1. 350 meters distance from the server to the workstation is not advisable unless you have a repeater.
allowable distance for a good connection is 100meters only.

answer:

server to 16ports switch distance? = beside the server
16ports switch to 8ports distance? = 5meters(using 8ports), 100meter(8ports), 100meter(8ports), 100meter(8ports),
8ports to workstations? = 15meters(8ports)

k na muha pag ping bay? dli pwedi mahimo nmog tag 90meters lang ang wire padung sa muha client pc's? kay ang 100meters is medyo wala na tolerance gud.. basin lang....

naa ka installed nga anti virus bro/sis?


i assumed nga ang virus gyud ang nakadaot sa nyuha system then dli sad ang ISP ang problem then
the following are possible solution to your prob.

1. ensure that your anti virus is updated then rescan your system. if theres no effect....
2. try using the windows system restore feature (windows 2000,xp sp1,xp sp2).
- to go to system restore, click start -->programs --> accessories --> system tools and select "system restore"..
- it will popup a window showing the features menu..
- select "restore my computer to an earlier time"..
- maka kita ka morag calendar then select ka sa date nga tanaw nmo wala pa madaot nyuha internet connection that date.
- sunda lang ang mga steps provided sa kada window, english raman na mao nga masabtan ra.. hehe.

murag ang naka cause ana sa intermetnt connection maybe ang distance tngali bro.. then mga interference
sa mga powerlines possible sad if duol.. then ang muha pag crimp sa pin 6 kay medyo sayop (green - orange).. basin sayop raka pag type. heheh.

ang lain nako ika suggest ana bro is mag wirelss nlang ka bro nga pag outdoor like linksys ron nga bago nila nga 4x ang yaha signal coverage sa normal wirelss routers.. lisod au gyud ang connection anang =>100meters.
