Seriously now, I think I can confirm now that the punishments according to our laws written in my original post are for real.

If the crime only involves oral and anal ***, it's only 6 to 12 years, while if it's vaginal penetration, it's 20 to 40.

And if there was just touching, the case isn't rape anymore, it will just be called sexual assault, which probably even gets lesser penalty.

No life sentence even if the victim is a minor.

Some articles, like Wiki, says Rape is considered a heinous crime. But only when it's rape with homicide. Without the death penalty, the tagging of a crime as heinous is now practically worthless.

Where the hell are those women groups advocating Violence Against Women campaigns have been doing? Why can't they push for a law to extend the jail sentence for rape, which the victims are mostly women. Maybe they're just fake groups, good only for taking donations.

The thought of the victim having to wait for the rapist to go as far as penetrating her vagina before fending him off to get the max penalty of the crime is crazy.

What i know is rape is a heinous crime punishable by life imprisonment. But if thats d case ts, i agree with u. Siguro naay lighter punishment if fr example unsuccessful attempts & wla ra jud ma stress ang victim. But if dali ra ma free ang suspect he'll probbly attempt d act again & unfortunately basin successful na by tht time. Im not sure if na review na na nga law..

para nako, there shouldn't even be a "lighter" sentence even if unsuccessful ang attempts. it's the same as tolerating their acts kai wa man nadayon. and the feeling of being violated and unsafe for the victims nga mka-agi ani kai di jud mabayran ug six years lang.
