alight, here's the deal, i've already updated my BIOS, but the 64MB thing still doesn't work. could it be that my motherboard doesn't support my video card?
err, ummm...should i remove the video card when updating the BIOS?this is embarassing.
@poldopunk: Check Asus support...
tan-awa sa imong windows kung unsa gyud iyang detect sa imong videocard. kung 128mb gani sa imong windows, then wala ra nay problema... kung dili man gani... sulod ka sa bios nimo... i-adjust ang imong video memory didto... himoang 128... kung naa man gani 128mb. kung wala, then you motherboard, must support only 64mb.Originally Posted by poldopunk
im not sure about changing the AGP apperture size since it isnt related to the Video Card. Di ba this is supposed to be how much your system will share its memory from your RAM?Originally Posted by fish
i need a confirmation. does anyone here who has the same board as i have (Asus P4VP-MX)? does it support a 128MB 64bit Video Card? i think that's the problem why the board detects my card as a 64MB card. i would appreciate your help.![]()
AGP aperture doesnt have anything to do with that. best way to do is contact both vcard and mobo manufacturer -- sure ka ana
poldopunk, have u tried updating the motherboard's drivers? Your mobo has a p4m266-a chipset. how about stuff like reinstalling everything from scratch...
get the latest VIA 4-in-1 Hyperion drivers, from the ASUS or the VIA website.
Was your mobo's onboard video disabled? What is the primary graphics adapter in the BIOS settings? AGP or PCI? Double check on the BIOS settings...
