baptized a catholic, but pretty much an agnostic, and I certainly do not adhere to any kind of belief doctrine. I also think that popes may or may not be selected by divine right/intervention, if there is such a thing.

AFAIK, the I agree with Pope Francis on this one. He is speaking in the interest of the goodness of humanity and not an institutionalized-type of faith. I'd like to think that God, IF there ever is one, is not willing to damn someone just because of their creed. In fact, sometimes I wonder if human beings only do good because of the belief of an omniscient God, who reward and punish people's acts with heaven and hell. Shouldn't people do good, because it is good and not because it is what earns them a place in heaven?

On my side of the fence, I neither believe in heaven nor hell.

    Biblically it says :

"I (Jesus) am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

    and I agree.

The Vatican (thru Rev Rosica): "Nope. The Pope got it wrong. Aetheists do go to Hell."

Just when someone tries to bridge the gap, the Vatican screws it up again. So much for "tolerance, love, and brotherhood."

Mag katawa man ko ani na thread. LOL!

Ang mga boutan naa na sa Hell, ang mga badlongon naa na sa heaven. Ngano man? Kay ang boutan dili na maghinulsol sa ilang mga sala kay boutan man lagi then human being as we are, masayop man gyud ta. Pero ang mga badlongon of course maka hinumdum maghinulsol mao hinoon ma langit.

Ang atong Ginoo wala sa Simbahan, naa nimo Siya makit-an sa Night Club! Kay tua didto ang mga badlongon.

TS ako suggestion nimo nuh, keep it to yourself whatever it is. Ikaw raman maka sulbad sa imo kaugalingon, ikaw ra pud ang mopili kon asa ka paingon, sa Heaven? or sa Hell? It means you have the right to choose between good and evil. Mind your own business!
