    I dont think they can stop it. I knew someone selling surplus Honda fit like hotcakes.

    His clients are not only in Cebu but other parts of the country as well especially Mindanao.

    Don't expect people to stop buying surplus vehicles anytime soon.

    Surplus vehicles are not reliable since they are not brandnew and do not have quality guarantees as well as safety issues. But why buy brand new when:

    -wages/salaries are not that good because of bad government policy
    -cost of utilities are extremely high because of monopoly and privatization
    -cost of commodities are high because of low wages/salaries
    -there is high incidence of crime especially theft of because of lack of job opportunities
    -there is high cost of red tape due to corruption because of the lack of jobs and because of low wages because of lack of competent and ethical employers
    -etc. etc

    dapat dili nila i-ban ang mga surplus. mas okay siguro if taasan nila ang tax sa mga surplus. kung pilay market price sa sakyanan mao pud ang tax. then ang registration price doble. at least kana nga policy ayus au.

    these just defeated the purpose of buying a "cheaper" vehicle...
    gipang-tax-an naman nang uban...ang mga palusot lang kay wala tax-i nya same ra ang presyo sa ubang surplus...which is not fair...

    morag gi implement nani dri sa cebu. Kay akong kaila na nag renew sa iya fit wala naman dawat renew dri LTO cebu. Didto ra niya pa renew balik sa mindanao where didto gi register sa shop iya gipalitan.
