Naa unta toy P4.5(?)k nga Philips DivX-DVD player pero wala na karon. Naa to sa Ayala (forgot the name of the store·...)

If you want cheap Divx-Xvid Capable players, go to Makro :mrgreen:
For reference check out pinoydvd.com. They have extensive reviews of Divx capable players available in the Philippines.
Surprisingly, these cheap looking Mpeg-4 capable players made from China have more range when it comes to the files it can play...
Try playing Xvid-encoded avi files on those Sony, Philips, etc...
They all fail!
I know since I've tested them when I went to check for a player which can play all my anime collection.

there's a tool which allows you to change the 4CC of an avi file from xvid to divx. this might solve the problem for players which only recognize divx files.

if your looking for a standalone dvd/divx player buy it at Makro if you are a little kugi, downtown buy a brand "HUG" its only 1950 sa downtown area. It plays DIVx and even can mix the subs/audio channels.
