lisod i-compare...if you're up for BS Physics...CHem...Biology...and the likes, sa USC payter mga programs!

Eng'g? equal ra man tinagli ang duha...

LAW? murag Siliman japon...as per historical records in Law...yet recently USC mu-compete na jud...

other courses? hmm...ambut?!

One thing for sure...
when it comes to defenses and researches, the teachers in USC can be your worst enemies. They won't hesitate to destroy your pride, guts, dignity, confidence, whatever. You will really grow in there!

why do you compare Silliman with USC. There's a big difference.

Silliman is way better with their Allied Health Courses, especially with Nursing.

Pero the Sciences: Chemistry and Physics definitely San Carlos. Most if not all of the Ph.d holder professors took their doctoral studies abroad. Chemistry center of excellence ang USC i think. not to mention nga USC has the best laboratory in that field outside metro manila.

Biology and Marine Biology i thinking they are in par with each other. All i have to say is that again many biology professors took their doctoral degrees outside. I know two, one took it in Japan the other in Germany. And faculty member there also discovered three or four or five bato species of Butterflies. one is name after the school, Carolinensis something, the others name after the one who discovered it.

Accountancy ... hands-down USC. Center Of Excellence

Law obvious man guro.. thats USC. the only law school in the philippines to have an foreign exchange program. correct me if i am right. and i think the only university outside LUzon nga in close fight against USC sa law program is Ateneo de DAvao.

hmmm.. Engineering, im not very familiar, but it is noteworthy to mention that USC is the first school in the Philippines to get internet connection. Chemical Engineering is the best outside Manila. Perhaps the only university outside of luzon to offer that course. im not sure.

the only university in the Philippines that offers GIS (geographic information system, it is a software used in geography) to undergraduates.

one of the oldest demographic research facilities in the philippines and is still running until now.

the psychology department's first chairperson Fr. Goertz was a student of the renowned psychologist Wilhelm Wundt. The department im not sure, is second only to UP diliman when it comes to age.

the Philosophy department there founded the Philosophical Association of Visayas and Mindanao. Not to mention great filipino philosophers are connected with the department.

Languages and Literature, all i can say is that the chairperson, is alumna of the University of Heidelberg. Thats a statement enough.

another departments im not very familiar with, socio-anthro is handling the demographic research.

but i could be wrong here, just double check.

so whether USC or silliman? hmm... i dunno. but thats what i can say of USC. Although, the student population is a hodge-podge of sorts.

Biology USC bagsakan... i doubt. center of Development bya na nag biology dept. sa usc. i think.

USC ACCOUNTING is a CEnter of Excellence sa CHED. Together with Diliman.

siliman is not second to diliman.

ang top schools is UP Los Banos, said to be followed by DLSU then Diliman then Ateneo then UST.
guess whos the sixth? i dont know mga factors pero one of them is said to be research daw.
