    • based on specs, N7 is better. But the thing is, iOS is much better coded and optimized, hence you will notice it function more smoothly. I promise you, the mini is the smoother device on the UI experience front. the hardware on the N7 is marginally better but android is poorly optimized on it. (I can explain to you on detail)

    • about the torrent na app like transmission, you dont have to jailbreak it. it's not on itunes kay bawal xa pero you can download and install it manually.

    • You should jailbreak the mini considering the potential it gives you. there are thousands of apps not available on the iTunes, like emulators and other good stuff which you will not get.

    • It won't affect performance if you JUST jailbreak it. themes and custom wares WILL affect your performance and battery life.

    • relatively, if you root your device on the N7; eventually it will slow down, android is less optimized compared to iOS and every custom ware or mod you apply on your device will affect your device more than say, mods on the mini.

to break it down for you on what I think you care the most:

    Nexus 7
    • if you want a REALLY portable device then the N7 is the way to go.
    • best bang for the buck among all 7" tablets.
    • if you care more about functionality and customizability.
    • if you can bear the lagging UI experience.

    iPad mini
    • if you have more money
    • if all you want is a bigger screen, 7.9"
    • more app availability. more games. more productivity.
    • if you can bear carrying it around.
    • if you want the better looking tab.

We can help you narrow it down even more if you tell us more info like:

    1. Do you bring it everyday? even on workdays and outings?

    2. what consumption is the device MAINLY for?
    • Internet browsing on the go or WIFI only?
    • Reading, Ebooks, PDF, comic and manga?
    • Watching Movies, TV shows?
    • Gaming?
    • ETC?

    2. what apps do you plan to use the most?

    3. Do you have the budget to pay another 7k for the 32gb iPad mini and buy it without regret?

    Hope it helps...

Nexus 7! Display is much better, more features (search Android Jellybean features in google) It will hold its value better than the Ipad Mini. The Ipad Mini is simpler and easier to use, but the Ipad Mini 2 may be released at the end of this year. IOS has a really good choice of apps too.
