here's an idea to help the thread starter instead of ranting <insert name of school here> is the best coz the others sux!

- state the advantages of the school you suggest. example:

school: Mabix School fo Computer Blahs

- paascu level 3 accreditation
- hi-end facilities
- terror instructors
- teaches MATH vividly (in regards to the threadstarters query)
- companies prefer Mabix School. others are second priority during job application
- teaches database in 2 semesters/levels
- we have the largest ratio of JITSE passers.
- one of the program of our alumni caused a commotion in the www which hacked pentagon mainframe.

hopefully, the thread starter could base upon this kind of response instead of ranting "My SCHOOL is ze B3st!!"

you really cited some points there mabix! however, do you even know what paascu means? or what the qualifications are for that award? it's a body that recognizes the standards of PRIVATE SCHOOLS! is UP a private school? i believe it's not. it's a state university struggling to overcome the harsh challenges of the world today. it is swimming through the rough currents of the political and economic status of this country. UP cannot afford to have high-end facilities. BUT, it surely is an institution committed in producing ethical and well disciplined students. it is unfair to demean its quality based on some biased factors as what you have just mentioned. let's be fair in here and let the students of UP speak out the grueling tasks given by their instructors. UP students aren't spoon fed. everyone has to have the initiative to study the lessons and topics that aren't discussed by their mentors.

well, it all accounts to how competent the professors are...
and so are the students...

--- terror teachers?! well, i may call them such... much more, harder to please so you better prove that you really are competent enough...
--- you crave for MATH?! the UP computer science program has it... in fact, the curriculum is strongly based on math theories and logic that'll help you through your programs...
--- well, without emphasizing further, companies would surely prefer UP grads... no question to that... this is whats called 'social stigma'...hahaha

it applies to ALL COURSES,SCHOOLS, and STUDENTS who value education. be it comp sci, engineering, watever...Welcome to reality.

from the looks of things "newbie" posters here are somewhat eager to tell the world that "UP" is the best. lol. thats why i suggested the guidelines to at least air out the strength of each institution you suggested. you don't need to be a scientist to understand that now would you?
