-If you buy a Retail version of Vista, the DVD media that comes inside the case will have all the files it needs to install on either a 32-bit or 64-bit machine.Originally Posted by DEMONOCIETY
-If you buy the OEM version however, then yeah you will have to decide whether to go for the 32-bit or 64-bit Vista since they come in different media. There shouldn't be much of huge price difference between a 32 or a 64 version.
-Vista does not come with a built-in anti-virus. It only comes with Windows Defender which is only a spyware scanner. You still need to purchase your own anti-virus.
Im interested in 64bit so pila man ang ultimate version? its much better to post both of them so that we can have 2 alternative. thanx againOriginally Posted by obemon
- about antivirus mao bitaw ni ask ko kung UNSA BA ANG ANTIVIRUS? I mean any available antivirus na mo run sa vista? if no available antivirus on it then its not safe to run this software, kay most kids think about how cool is it but they dont think how safe againts the threat... kung Y antivirus mo run ani so Y ayo period.
I'm running the latest version of Nod32 Anti-Virus on Vista right now and works fine.Originally Posted by DEMONOCIETY
Any problems with UAC? Did you turn it off after pissing you off? Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

^^I turned it off. Hated the fact that Vista had to prompt me 3 times just to delete a file. I'm sure a lot of people will turn it off too. Yeah it kinda defeats the purpose really but it's so damn annoying. I already had one customer at work who's just an average Joe Bloe user but rang me and asked me why Vista keeps popping out with all these questions. He said he got so annoyed with it that he just kept clicking YES without actually reading the security warning.
UAC if fine for beginners cuz t prompts every time your computer made changes to its settings, its useful to so that they could be warned not to experiment some settings (registry, settings, etc) which cud cause the computer to act abnormally, but for skilled level hu knows windows environment its very annoying to see and to hear the notification window every time it pops up. generally for me its very annoying sometimes. mka hinay sa lihok nato sa windows, ako cya gi disable. para wy hasol.
