    my first mobo to unlock my X3 was ASRock 880g tag 3K...3.5ghz ra ko kutob...
    Take note:
    not all X3's are unlockable..
    I bought mine at G.I. APM(SM) last May30...I paid 3,300pesos...and got a quad core....

    mao ba? 3.5k mn pud palit nko sa akong board bro, Emaxx 785G-FXN last dec 2010 sa GI pud. idk if naa ba ni xa unlocking capabilities.

    Phenom II X2... Bugnaw then dali ra kaayo i OC walay hassle... Mine is unlocked to 4 and running 4GHz...

    32degrees Idle, 48degrees full load...

    Yup di makita pero imuha man ma compute... kalimot ko sa formula, ako sa ukayon.... nakita naku sa net... Speed Fan ra ako gamit... Sa BIOS sad kay naay temp nakabutang pero di ko sure kay la pa man gadagan ang windows ana...

    There are two different temps here; one is the CPU socket temp, which is what BIOS reports, and the other is the core temp, which is what Core Temp and OCCT report. Once you have unlocked cores you will no longer be able to read the core temp but the CPU temp should be available with programs like HWMonitor.

    The best way to do this is set it back to dual core so you can see the core temp again then, at 100% load (running Prime95 or OCCT), compare the core temp to the socket temp to see if there is any difference. Then you can unlock the cores again and use the socket temp by applying any difference there was between the core and the socket.

    Depending on your motherboard, the cpu socket temperature sensor can be TMPIN0, TMPIN1, or TMPIN2. Next, observe how closely TMPIN0 or TMPIN1 or TMPIN2 relates to core temperatures at 100% load. This will tell you your approximate temperatures when unlocked. You can use this reading as a rough estimate of your core temperatures.
