    it's 3.25+ GB RAM for 32bit

    232 = 4,294,967,296
    4,294,967,296 / (1,024 x 1,024)/8 = 3.2768GB

    while for 64bit

    264 = 18,446,744,073,709,551,616
    18,446,744,073,709,551,616 / (1,024 x 1,024) / 8 = 2 exabytes In case you're wondering, the progression is giga, tera, peta, exa.

    and having 2 x 2GB is far more better than a single 4GB stick..never mind power consumption between the two, your electric meter won't even blink on the power difference..

    but ur power computing will DO MORE than blink..

    and for that reason..intel came up with TRIPLE CHANNEL on i7 + x58 Mobo

    and QUAD CHANNEL on Sandy Bridge E..

    performance jump..

    One disadvantage of using all the slots kay when the time you want to increase your ram, you have to remove one of them which is a hassle. So if your planning to upgrade it later, better buy the highest single stick, then just add a couple of sticks later

    id go for 1x4gb.. negligible ra kaayo ang performance difference between dual-channel ug single channel on most everyday apps and use, unless specific jud imo needs..
