Why do Filipino movies suck?

as much as we like to patronize our own, pinoy movies really do suck, why?

limited budget. if you have limited budget, you cant hire good scriptwriters, good directors, and good production crew.

lets say I want to make a movie, and of course, im pinoy, and Im planning to hire Steven Spielberg to direct it, I have the budget, and I can spend millions. It will be a pinoy movie with an american director, pero pinoy prod crew. the movie would be a blockbuster, for sure. unfortunately, lucio tan and henry sy are not movie producers.

Filipino movies are my guilty pleasure.

I agree that they suck. But they're the kind of movies that even though they suck, you still end up watching them anyway.

Naglagot ang nagada, ug iyang gi-luwas iyang asawa ug anak. Rakrak, Granade, hutdan ug bala, sumbagay nalang. Patay kontra, abot mga Pulis.. THE END.. bow!

why it suck?

1. same story, different title
2. actors and actresses dont act naturally... always exaggerated

the truth can really hurt... no offense to all lovers of those kind of movies...

but not all filipino movies suck... like what the TS has cited some indie films got content...

and more often than not, ang title sa movie is a line from a love song.. lols. pero kabantay baya kog improvement in terms of visuals.. murag nilevel up pud gamay ilang cameras siguro.. but mao ra sad na akong nakita nga improvement..

naa bayay SOME Filipino movies nga nindot.. Tanging Yaman, for example.. loaded with family values..
