Sometimes, It depends on how you present yourself during the interview.
I am a Business Management graduate who recently applied for any position in a Company. The company was looking for a Computer Course Graduate. Aside from the Accounting Subjects, I indicated in my Resume that I have background in Web Designing, Php and knows how to Repair/Troubleshooting of Computers. During the interview, I honestly told them that I have no certification what so ever to prove that I can do basic computer repair because I only learned these things via google and self studying. Instead, I politely asked them to give me a chance to prove myself.
The company hired me as a Jr. Systems Admin.![]()

plan ahead lang bai and if your current job pays you well, save sa for 3 to 6 months worth of expenses before doing the big jump. kay basin mopalpak then you will still have time to look for other jobs or balik sa old field.
but if you're aim is to boost pay but di kaayo ka hireable, try part time jobs nalang samot na sales, perseverance ra requirement hehehe.
Wow, jealous ko nimo bai. I am also planning to change jobs. have been working in a call center but plan to work as a web designer/programmer. I myself have been studying HTML and CSS online. Plan to study PHP after. Bro, maybe you could please pm me the name of your company so I could try my luck also? Thanks bro.
I think the company hired me because I can do Dual-Role. I was hired as a Jr. Systems Admin and Accounting Staff as well. Aside from aiding in the maintenance of the System, I also do Accounting work such as Auditing.
I advice you to keep on reading. Enhance your skills, find someone that is willing to help you.![]()
