Lego NXT Pinball Machine Made from Over 8000 Pieces
Called Lego TXT, this pinball machine was constructed using more than 8,000 Lego pieces. It would be interesting to note that the device is powered by 6 NXT robots, 9 touch sensors, 10 light sensors and 4 motors.
The authors of Lego TXT, Mark Gryn and Michael, were inspired by a machine built by Gerrit Bronsveld and Martijn Boogaarts.
Mark Gryn is from the School of Computer Science, University of Windsor, while Michael is an 11th grade student that takes part in a co-op program initiated at the University of Windsor.
The steel ball used in the game is the only part of the construction that is not a Lego piece. The whole programming was created using NXT-G programming language, offered by Lego with the robots.

Artist Nathan Sawaya recently unveiled his huge five feet-tall BlackBerry Tour 9360 smartphone made of LEGO blocks.
The device also features a built-in flat-screen TV.
The LEGO blocks accurately fold the flat screen of the giant construction of the New-York artist, allowing users to play video games.
The device is so big that it needs its own support stand.
The former lawyer and now a LEGO artist, Mr. Sawaya, used not only standard bricks, the work features blocks made by commission.

Airbus A380 Made from Lego Bricks and Controlled Using Touchscreen Tech
Ryan McNaught decided to make a detailed model of Airbus A380 from Lego blocks. The plane features detailed interior with scenes inspired from five different films.
There are also several landing gears and eight working Mindstorm NXT engines, which Mr. McNaught can control through a computerized A380 control panel.
By using the touchscreen controls, one can retract gears, open cargo doors, raise the air brakes, turn on the landing lights, move the tail fin, as well as move the flaps.

Niko - LEGO Robot Equipped With Nokia N900 Phone and Controlled via Twitter
During the PUSH N900 competition, initiated by Nokia in the United States, teams where asked to develop new ways of using the Maemo smartphone. One of the most original projects is called Niko, which is a LEGO robot that can be controlled by making use of the Twitter.
The robot is made entirely from LEGO Mindstorm NXT 2.0 parts. Featuring custom software, Niko uses Twitter API to check a special Twitter account for instructions. The account @N900Niko has been set up exclusively for the project.
By sending commands from the Twitter account, users are able to use the 5Mpx camera, mounted on the robot, to take pictures or instruct the machine to move around the room. After taking a picture, Niko can automatically upload it to Twitpic.
