yup, im sure. check sa imo soundcard software for the settings and output configuration...

Via HD raman ni akong onboard sound oi... although naa xa configurator sa sa sound output...
pero much beter if naa gyud sound card noh?
ma klaro ba ang diffrence sa naa card or onboard lang in 5.1 mode>?
para sa akoa, pareha ra.... but nindot jud ang sound quality sa creative....
i'm using that sound card plus a Kave on my setup right now. Tsada raman.
And compared sa onbaord ng 5.1 sound nako mobo, layu rajyud ug difference.
@TS: dili nimo ma utilize ang real 5.1 surround sound sa Kave. ang audio out sa imong board (green) ra ang magamit nimo para sa Kave.onboard ra akong sound karon, it only has the green, the pink and blue
USB=power
Green=front
Orange=rear
Black=sub
Pink=mic

hmm wierd... coz im sure u can set what audio stream you want each of your 3-output soundcard(losing the mic function though kai kulang na output) to produce either front speakers, rear, or sub/center--kung 5.1 channel man lang ato hisgutan...
of course sound quality using creative soundcard will be very different compared to onboard...but it doesnt mean u nid one to produce 5.1 channels

@werty:
there's nothing wrong with your explanation sir,that's what you called "virtual surround system". the kave has real 5.1 surround system, meaning it has 5 speakers embedded in the headset. that's why it will need a board that has real 5.1 surround outputs.
im very much aware what kave 5.1 is. ive been into the audio business before and even 7.1 setup is nothing new to me... virtual or not,hardware controled or software(im sure im getting 5.1 channel on my dvd-disk), it doesnt mean u cant use the kave on a 3-output soundcard(which has option to select number of speakers and also which im using at home for a 4.1 setup, front l/r, rear l/r and center)
im sure the TS made this thread because he got problems in how to connect his headset if he follows the color-coding....
