i had an experience like this before sa manila. while waiting for a ticket sa mrt, naay amerkano nikalit ug sapaw sa atubangan, dako pa gyud kaau ang sign sa atubangan nga linya tanan. before sya nakapalit ug ticket kay ambot gibaligyaan sad sa attendant, smile pa, ako gyud giingnan nga "obviously, we have a long line waiting for a ticket, its either you push your way through and get kicked out from this station or stand in line and wait just like us."

nauwaw sya. surprisingly, wala may paki ang mga tawo, ang ako rang mga kauban nga puro cebuano pud ang nagyawyaw.

dili ni angay sanayon batasana. dapat equal ang treatment and what luli did was right.

NAIA Customs police relieved after extort complaint by Japanese coeds
    By Rainier Allan Ronda
    The Philippine Star 11/04/2006

Two Customs policemen were ordered relieved after they extorted money from a large group of young Japanese university students who arrived in Manila for a two-week study tour of the country last Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Centennial Terminal.

Major Elpidio Manuel, Bureau of Customs-NAIA chief of police, identified the erring Customs policemen as Joel Vargas and Danny Pebeanco, both assigned at the NAIA Centennial Terminal international arrival area.

^ Hay, naku. The fact that they were immediately relived from their duty is just a prompt action of their superiors. They should learn that they are the front liners of airline personnel who should show courteousness and politeness to the passengers. They should not be rude with the people they are dealing with.

After all, Filipinos are known for being hospitable, courteous and polite. How can we prove that if we treat these people in such a way?

... in that statement of his, he clearly states that he is "sip sip" and give favors to anybody who's "bigtime". It's funny how our country gives super special attention to tourists especially americans, while filipinos visiting other countries are treated as "normal" tourists.

What the **** he apologized for the wrong thing!

He apologized because he was confused and he did not recognize her?? What about the whole tolerated jumping of line thing?

This pisses me off so much cos I travel quite some and immigration's gotta be the worst part of any travel.
