That's hasty generalization rods, not all Filipinos thinks the same way as your neighbors.. Di lalim nga malayo ka sa imong pamilya bai just for the sake nga maka-travel ka para makapapicture kay ipang hambog.. Agree with cptn_star, the UN can't rely on us when it comes to financial contribution, so what do you think is the alternate option for us to contribute to the UN's mission?

bitaw no,, they are just volunters but they are risking their lives, helping others, away from home and family, these should be considered as the new hero of our times,

Working under a U.N.mission makes no difference being employed in countries where security alert is on high level.

goverment's money? the reason why daghan sila gi deploy gani para ka kuha og more funds from UN , coz naay reimbursement to any peacekeeping missions , just like Bangladesh ka earn sila hundreds of dollars para lang ana , aside ana mas needed sad mga pinoys kay kabalo mu english . Sen. Escudero would even want to deploy more to fund the AFP modernization , at least kana kung naa man kwarta makuha ang pinas at least hard earned pa , they were deployed to troubled countries like Afghanistan Haiti Liberia Golan Heights , their lives were still at risk there naa sad sila sacrifices like malayo sa family dili lang nag tourist2x or pang facebook lang , they ave been doing that almost 50 years now daghan na sila na tabangan , na kulangan pag benefits kay tungod sa mga kurakot na AFP officials then tawagon pa ninyo sila nag feeling tourista lang or panghambog sa FB ?

Now while looking Ban in Wikipedia, this caught my eye:

U.N. records show that South Korea, the organization's eleventh-largest financial contributor, had 54 South Korean nationals assigned to its mission six months before Ban took over the top U.N. post. By contrast, the Philippines, a less financial contributor, had 759 nationals in its mission.

Why are there so many U.N. delegates from our country? Para maka-travel-travel, maka abroad, picture-picture sa mga places they have been to, and then impang-hambog dayon sa Facebook? At our government's expense? At the taxpayer's expense? Grabe, mas gamay pa gani ang SoKor contingent yet they are the 11th largest financial contributor to the U.N. *shakes head*

    Shame on us.

For once I strongly disagree with you. Philippines belongs to a community of nations.

A doctor friend of mine who works with the U.N. had his wife (who traveled with him, doctor pod) mistakenly blown to bits by friendly fire, only he miraculously survived. I doubt if "impang-hambog dayon sa Facebook" was in his mind.

    You said:

"Diri pa lang gani, klaro na kaayo ang batasan sa Pinoy."

    May I rephrase:

"Diri pa lang gani, klaro na kaayo ang batasan sa Pinoy nga bisan unsay buhaton sa gobyerno sawayon jud."

    Shame on you.

Your friend is an exception to the rule. The good guys are always the exception. That's the rule of thumb in this world today. Konti lang talaga ang matino.

I shall call your friend and others like him "collateral damage" to whatever negativity I throw out of my thread--I'm more interested in targeting those who are guilty of using certain privileges of this sort of work for their own end, and not for some higher, nobler purpose. You know who you are. Bahala na kayo if you think I'm demeaning those who deserve more praise or honor for what they do.
