The best roads in the country were built by private companies (for example Ayala Center, Asiatown IT Park) so I think the solution is to just privatize everything... Hopeless na jud ang public officials nato, they are too stupid, too uncaring and too corrupt.

Cyclists haven't got a chance when the sidewalk is two feet below them.
I was grinning with description Shock and Awe! actually it does look like several pounds of explosive ordinance blew up in that area.

Prime example of bad drainage hence flooding, hence broken roads..

How could this area flood? guess where

why doesnt the government invest on expensive roads with lesser maintenance rather than cheap "tapak tapak" asphalt that needs repairs every month, why can't they have roads like banawa or ayala, panagsa ra kaayo mag road repairs

i don't get to be in cebu as much as i'd like to anymore. but since i grew up there, i don't have to look out the window to see where i am, or which part of the city i'm in, or even the route the cab driver chooses because i can actually feel where i am. call this absurd, but it was true--til my last visit in november, last year...

i used to be able to read a book from bulacao, to ayala or to IT Park on a sunny day. but now, the many potholes just get me too dizzy. when i looked out the window, i was surprised to see that i was on N. Bacalso Avenue and the road was that bad.

if the roads that supposedly welcome you to the city are in such a poor condition, you can't really expect anything better to the rest of it. i'm just glad that when all the tourists flock cebu for sinulog, they won't have the optimal chance to notice how terrible we've allowed our roads to go from acceptable, to just downright embarrassing.
