    bai syot,

Stock settings pa karon tanan.. wala pa'y na OC.. even gabii pg human assemble pg test run nako, mao na jd.. ako pasanginlan ani kay ang AVR jd.. hehe generic man gud.. wa pa pud nako na suway direct sa outlet.. pero wala man nuon unusual behavior ang rig karon nga andar.. normal ra kaayo.. kana lng jd pg ON..

It's called 'clockgen' on some EVGA boards. And it's normal. I'm using P55 FTW, with BIOS update, pwede ra ma-on and off ang clockgen para dili mu-boot twice. Normal ra na siya sir.

Ah Okay.. normal ra.. so dili na maka apekto sa uban nga components?

Better OC stability. Nabasahan nako sauna, 'test' daw na sa PCIe stability ang second powercycle. Try updating BIOS [if not yet up-to-date, and does not have the clockgen mode under freq/voltage control], if CPU is to be at stock, then you can disable clockgen switch mode.

    From EVGA Support Tech:

    Answered By Bobby O (10/10/2010 10:53:58 AM):

Clockgen is not available to be disabled/enabled in BIOS (for X58 boards) - it is an automatic feature. It is related to overclocking/stability. It can also indicate improper memory timings.

I no longer experience "double bump" as what EVGA techs called this attitude.. I noticed on CPU-Z that my cpu frequency is changing from 3183.9 MHz to 3184.1 MHz and I believe this is caused by the Speedstep.. From these changes, Vcore is also changing from 1.105v to 1.117v..

    @ 1.125v - both are changing, respectively..

    3183.9 MHz = 1.105v
    3184.1 MHz = 1.117v

Bumping Vcore to 1.131v, on CPU-Z readings, only the cpu frequency changes and Vcore remains at 1.117v.

I tried shutting down the pc and turned ON again after a few seconds.. No more "double bump". So, with this, this tells me that these are the "stable settings".

With "Double bump" = Unstable, Incorrect BIOS settings(RAM, Voltages) since this is an automatic feature which is related to overclocking/stability.

    Note:

Loaded defaults, changed RAM timings to 8-8-8-24 @ 1.65v and Vcore to 1.131v with respect to my cpu and mobo. All others, untouched.

These are just my findings. Please feel free to correct me.
