    not all.

there are a lot of capable IT people in the states but companies there want to transfer the jobs here in asia because of the lower salary rate here. there is a story in newsweek i think about that "corporate greediness".

According to Gartner Inc., the market for offshore business process outsourcing will more than double in 2004 to $3 billion from $1.3 billion in 2003. Offshore outsourcing only represents 2.3% of the total outsourcing market, although 16% of US companies that outsource some of their business functions reported that they make use of offshore providers. Forrester Research Inc. has predicted that the number of US services jobs moving offshore by the end of 2005 will reach 830,000, a 40% jump from its original forecast of 588,000. The types of services covered by this forecast include both IT and non-IT jobs, according to the report. Following this trend, Forrester said $134 billion in wages would move offshore by 2015.

yeah, salary rate is a big teaser for international companies to outsource. which is also aside from the fact that, say... the filipinos... are equally competitive and talented too.

What do you mean dili ma kaya ang research and development diri? You mean dili kabalo ang pinoy mo design ug relo nga gibuhat sa timex? Do you mean dili kabalo mo design ang pinoy ug printer nga gi manufacture sa lexmark? Do you mean dili kabalo mo design ug flourescent lamp ang pinoy?

I think what he/she meant is to outsource a R&D work to a thrid party.. and for Filipinos... anyway, most of those r&d facilities in Cebu are extension of the parent company that is why trust and confidentiallity are in place.

I saw you got warned there rumsfield. Although people like yourself who speak very irresponsibly undoubtedly steers up discussions in this room which I find a little fun to refute and unprove, but still we have rules to abide to. People are just who they are don't you think? Like yourself, you sound so discriminating to our fellow pinoys and yet, what do you do? I mean, we can't force people to act this way and that right? You are what you are... hambugeruon pud. But hey, like I said be yourself lisud pud kaayo mag acting-acting kang dili hambugero nya hambugero diay gyud. So...

Let's see where that arrogance takes you here eh? Kinda tone down a little bit I guess... attack the idea not the people.
