@BPC, hi i don't know the reason why your Mom left and what kind of situation she's in while living here in the State but, I don't think she is forgotten all about you for not being able to visit or coming home so soon. I bet you are always on her thoughts and prayers.
No matter what had happened during all these years, she is still your Mom and we only have one Mom in this world. I myself haven't seen my Mom in 13 years, but my love and respect for her will never fade away despite of how many years we don't see each other.
In your situation, I'm sure your Mom has a lot of explaining to do when she got here. Just be happy and grateful that she's able to make it and give her a big hug.

i don't understand why moms/dads have to leave their kids for 20 long years.. there are lots of reasons though, i know.. but me, i would never do that to my kids..

back to the topic.. if i were on that situation, i guess i'd be so numb and probably won't feel such flood of emotions.. man, that's 20 long years.. i couldn't even imagine just thinking about it..

still, there's that degree of respect.. it's true, we only have one mom in this world..
