    good day sir

in-body focus motor means that your camera body is the one responsible for rotating the lens to keep your subject in focus.

nikon's entry-level cameras (D40, D40x, D60, D5000 and D3000) does not have in-body motor, hence, they cannot rotate certain types of lens.

lenses marked AF-S and AF-I are the only ones that can auto-focus on the cameras listed above because they have motor built inside the lens.

if you buy a camera as kit, it usually comes with an AF-S lens.

if you buy a camera body only, make sure you get an AF-S lens. (AF-I lenses are a bit expensiive)

    hope this helps.

Here's an example bro, started by pentax user

    https://www.istorya.net/forums/photog...ntax-dslr.html

Nindot ug naa gyud specific thread nga mo post tag "Best Pictures" nato using our beloved Nikon DSLR's then sa ubos sa pic kay naay EXIF sa picture, informations like: Camera used(model), mode used, shutter speed, Aperture, iso, WB etc.. and state also if it has been PP and the enhancements done, in this way, nikon users of different model will know unsa diay capability sa iyang camera on hand, me for example using D90, i was really amazed how some of our fellow istoryans here take such wonderful photographs using same camera as mine, why can't i do it? whats worng with my camera? what are the things i need to do with my cam?...IMHO

Bro if ni agree ka ako suggestions, unahi ug post bro , but if dili ok ra bro ha,

nice suggestions bro. let's start with a new thread regarding the nikon pics with details mentioned above. para we can have an outlet to share and improve our shots.

can we keep this thread running also but as more as an advice or learning resource with regards to camera and lens handling and functions? (e.g. how to use the two-reset button, how to copy Wb settings etc.) or is there another thread handling that? from what i surmised, the posters on the nikon users thread just listed their nikon gears.

please advise, still not used to thread starting hehehe
