im new to this hobby sad, just bought my D90 last month, first night nako ako cam, wyl reading the manual explore2x pod sa real cam and pagka buntag when i checked my cam i did 800+ shots!!! hehe sa ako rum ra tanan ang setting hasta mga ok2x picturan. i hate the word "shutter life", karon di nako hapit mo pislit sa akong shutter hehe, maka adik ang sound gyud, everynight mag watch kog tutorial sa youtube i kept my camera away, ma tintal gyud kog pislit sa shutter!

daghan naba naka try ug pa ilis ug shutter? pila ka years ninyo before ma abot ning 100K actuatios in real practice?

^^ Pila ka years? dependi rana sa imung gamit bro.

Pero ayawg think bro nga for example rated at 100k actuations imu madaot gyud cya kalit ig abot 100k. Naay uban dli pa maguba ig 100k and naa pud uban nga before pa ana guba na.

Pero okay rana, kung ebase nimu sa price sa cam or price pa replace sa shutter mechanism, wala ra kaabot 1 peso kada click. However, the picture that you take is priceless. So cge lang shoot kung naa kay makit-an ganahan ka mu shoot.

i agree on this. its true that there are some shutters that expire early, others expire even after the estimated maximum actuation for that particular DSLR. i have a friend who has a NIKON D50 which has an actuation of around 170k+ already. see?? that is even more than 100k! so it basically depends on the situation. its a case to case basis on when will your shutter die.

IMHO, as what ive read regarding actuations, yes naay limit jud ang shutter sa mga DSLR cameras pero dili na mahurot kay dili mana consumable ang shutter.. hehe.. lol. instead, maguba kay ni abot na sya sa limit nya. sa mga nabasahan pud nako with regards to it, naay mga database sa mga users kung when namatay/naguba/ni expire ilang shutter. other users daw as early as 10k actuations (no. of times shutter was fired) naguba na, ilisdanan na. others pud bsag 200k+ na ilang actuations, buhi lang ghapon ilang camera.. so i guess timing2 lang jud na or depende rajud na gi unsa pag amping. with regards to your question in #2, i havent heard nga naay shutter life ang mga non SLR/DSLR. with #3, yes pwede mailisan ang shutter mechanism kay my tito experienced nga ni expire iyang shutter as early as 15k may gani covered pa sa warranty.

Yes, you would send that to a service center. Depende sa imo camera brand kung naa service center. For Nikon I believe manila lang ang naay service center. Speaking as a Nikon user I have'nt problems with my cam.

Ila gyud ilisan ang shutter module...depende sa model sa imo cam. Pero mostly photographers I know is they change there cams around 3-4 yrs before it reaches their max life span. Mao na most photographers invest on lenses not more about camera bodies.

You bought a cam for your enjoyment dli for you to worry.. Hope this helps bai
