    i think this is fraud. i was told by my credit card agent before that some agents would get information from the applicant and tell them their applications were declined. what they would do is intercept with the address and phone numbers and then the card will be delivered to them instead. so they will use your card and pretend to be you.

    and i think the agent that you talked to doesn't know what she's doing. she should be fired.

    Usually an email directed to the VP of the Credit Card Division of the any issuing bank would resolve the problem. In my case I also sent a formal letter through registered mail to the same person, as well as a phoned in complaint regarding fraud and fraudulent acts committed by their banks. Sometimes the bank does issue "Pre-approved" credit cards in the hope that the intended receiver will just accept it, but I never do. In my case, I did get a formal reply that the cards in question were cancelled. Besides, pre-approved cards still need to be activated by their recipients. But that's beside the point. The issue is the abuse of personal information.

    No banks can be trusted, because of the fierce competition for a limited market. Hence they resort to unethical methods.

    In your case, it was indeed fraud, because you received a billing statement. On a card that has yet to be delivered, no less. Check the paper trail. You might be able to request for a copy of your application to see who applied for the card (if there is a picture attached), or to see who the agent for that application was, because I believe the said agent can be party to the fraud complaint. Was your signature forged? Or is the signature totally different from yours?

    Sad to say, the way personal information is being handled by corporations nowadays leaves us wide open for fraudulent acts and violation of privacy, especially when they need every centavo they can get their hands on. Every misplaced CV, bio-data, and application form and billing statement is in itself a potential risk.

    I totally agree that this is fraud. The thing is, I never even talked to any agent before as far as I can remember and besides I never liked the idea of having a credit card. For me one card is enough from where I am a depositor.

    I am really bent on making a complaint on this, thanks so much for your feedbacks.

    Abuse of personal information indeed. They thought people would take whatever crap they just throw at. P75 pesos is not a big deal for me, it is their utter disrespect to my privacy of information.

    I will try to check the paper trail as you suggested. I never handled any paper works or application forms in this regard and that was what made me very surprised. I have yet to see, if I ever get my hands to any "supposed" application form of which isn't very likely to be there.

    like anang sa Sky Experience Adventure (Crown Regency)... naa na clay stall sa mga malls. if mo fill up daw ka free ticket daw then good for two.. tawagan ra daw ka nila to claim your tickets.. after few days daghan na kaayog SMS spam akong phone sa mga promo or affiliates nila...wala jud ticket naabot..

    Para mohatag ka imong infos they will offer freebies.. careful lang mo anang freebies nga ang kapalit infos..
