from what i know, pwede ninyo ma change sa babaye na apilyedo but if mag minyo mo sa simbahan i dont think mu sugot sila.. unless naay na hitabo like bulag ang couple then ang custody naa sa babaye..

i will answer this question in my capacity as a lawyer. when a woman gets married, she is NOT OBLIGED to use the surname of her husband. under the law, she actually has three options:
1. use her husband's surname and drop her surname (e.g. Gloria Arroyo)
2. retain her surname and add her husband's surname (e.g. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo). Macapagal
s Gloria's surname and Arroyo is Mike's surname;
3. use her husband's name and surname and entirely drop her name, but adding the prefix "Mrs."
(e.g. Mrs. Mike Arroyo), this is usual in Great Britain
4. retain her maiden name (e.g. Gloria Macapagal)

Remember that what is used in the law is the word "MAY", thus the woman is NOT OBLIGATED to adopt the husband's surname. She has a choice / option, the Supreme Court said.
