Not really a valid statement. The Hudson River crash was caused by ingestion of a flock of geese which stopped both engines. Nothing to do with the airplane's intrinsic airworthiness.

These aircraft are very well-designed and are known to be extremely reliable and fuel-efficient.

To my recollection, this is the first fatal crash (if it did indeed crash, which is likely) of an A330 in passenger service.
