yeah yeah yeah..SUSPICIONS, DECEPTIONS, ALLEGATIONS blah blah..and all that RHYMES.

eitherways..how sure are you that it was the devil and not MOTHER MARY??..nothing but hunches!
from Scripture, we can be sure it's a paranormal hoax and NOT the Blessed Virgin.....

NOT enyclicals or testimonies from forensic experts, theologians, or scholars because none of those are reliable either. (see 1 Cor. 3: 19 )

    Why Has Mary Come?

For a simple answer to this question, think of the World as a gigantic playground. Without teachers to supervise disagreements, fights and general disorder will eventually develop. This World is our playground with Jesus and Mary as our teachers. Without their direct intervention man will eventually destroy himself.

There has never been a time of total peace in the history of mankind. This it seems, cannot be achieved without direct heavenly intervention.

Jesus came to this earth 2000 years ago to teach his message of love and peace and what was mankind's response?....They murdered him!

Mary has taken on the role as Heavenly messenger and comes to warn us when danger threatens. This she did in 1917 during World War One, when she appeared to three children in Fatima, Portugal. She asked mankind to abandon aggressive ways and to turn more to a life of prayer. To reinforce this message, Mary asked for the miracle of the sun which was seen by almost seventy thousand people. These seventy thousand people should have been Mary's witnesses and should have spread the news of the miracle to others, sadly this did not happen. Mankind ignored Mary's warning, and, as a result, suffered the horrors of twenty major wars over the next forty three years.

Mankind's indifference to Mary's message was summed up by the attitude of the World's biggest English language newspaper, The New York Times. It only merited three lines on page twenty - nine.

Hoping lessons would be learned from all this aggression, Mary was allowed to visit the Earth again. This time She chose a tiny village in Northern Spain called Garabandal. As in Fatima, Mary chose to appear to local children aged eleven and twelve. The date was 18 June 1961.

Michael the Archangel was chosen to appear to the children first, to test their reaction before Mary appeared to them. The message that Mary brought this time was much sterner. She said; "You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices and think about the passion of Jesus. Before the cup was filling up....NOW IT IS OVERFLOWING".

This last sentence referred to the amount of sin in the World. These visitations in Garabandal continued for four years, but, once again mankind ignored Mary's warnings. False rumours abounded, and as a result, interest in the apparitions waned. This left Mary with no choice but to abandon Her peace mission yet again. On June 18 1965, her final message was; "Because my messages have not been listened to and my wishes made known, this will be the last one. This gives me great sadness".
When Mary first appeared in Garabandal, there were already major wars in Vietnam, Algeria, Rhodesia and Angola. Before she would make a final attempt to bring peace to our troubled world, another ten major wars would erupt world-wide. Because of Mary's immense love for us she was allowed to to make one final attempt to make her wishes known ; the area chosen for these last earthly apparitions was Medugorje, an unknown village high in the hills of the former Yugoslavia, the date was 24 June 1981.

To make sure mankind was aware of her wishes, Mary chose to appear to six local children on a daily basis. In addition she gave a monthly message to be relayed to the world. The essence of her messages are; Peace, Prayer, Fasting, Faith, Conversion and Confesion. Up to this present time, Medugorje has suffered from the same false rumours that destroyed Garabandal. It has been reported that the Bishop of Mostar has condemned the apparitions and that the whole scenario is a scheme dreamed up by the Franciscans to make money. All this is of course untrue. There is world-wide proof that Medugorje is authentic and surely if it wasn't it would have been exposed before now.

As a result of all this bad press Mary's efforts are largely ignored by the majority of the Catholic church. It has survived so far only thanks to the twenty million pilgrims who have already been to Medugorje and have returned home to follow Mary's wishes by forming prayer groups and praying for world peace.

Ten years to the day of Mary's apparition in Medjugorje, tho bloodiest and cruellest war this century took place in Bosnia. This was a direct result of mankind ignoring Mary's messages. This was followed by the war in Nicaragua, the Falklands, Iraq and Kosovo, all resulting in an unacceptable loss of human life....life which is so precious to God.

So what has Mary achieved over the last twenty years? Up to the present day over twenty million pilgrims from every ethnic background and religion have visited Mary in Medugorje, including thousands of Priests, Bishops and members of religious orders. All have come away with something.

But Mary is still waiting...waiting for YOU! Mary has said,"Medugorje is for everyone without exception" and everyone who answers her call will receive a present, what this present is only Mary herself knows. It could be a conversion, a physical healing or an answer to a particular problem. Whatever Mary has for you no one else can collect on your behalf. You must go to Medugorje in person and get it yourself. In addition to all this, all who do go to Medugorje will receive a special blessing from Mary. This blessing will last them for their duration here on earth. Mary said,"those of you who live My messages will never be able to thank Me enough. For those who ignore My messages and refuse to convert it will be too late" What Mary means by too late we do not know.

Sad to know someone is still suffering from MUD (Multiple Username Disorder), tsk, tsk, tsk.

Aaanyway, for those who are very familiar with at least "True Devotion to Mary"-- not "True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary" (Can't you make up your mind on the correct title?) --by St. Louis DeMonfort (What, you can't remember who wrote this book and from which pages you are ripping out those sentences from), you will see how this poster (or the posts he got these from) just beautifully MISQUOTES and PRESENTS THESE OUT OF CONTEXT. Well, he can't make up his mind about the exact title, so what can you expect...Hmm, reminds me of that article by a certain "Bro. Frederico Lasala, SVD"

    For example, directx posted that
"Moreover, if as I have said, the holy virgin is the Queen and sovereign of heaven and earth, has she not then as many subjects and slaves as there are creatures? St. Anselm St. Bernard, St. Bernadine, St. Bonaventure say…’behold, all things and God included are subject to the empire of the virgin.” (True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary)
    .

The book "True Devotion to Mary", however, states that
'Moreover, if, as I have said, the Blessed Virgin is the Queen and Sovereign of heaven and earth, does she not then have as many subjects and slaves as there are creatures? “All things, including Mary herself, are subject to the power of God. All things, God included, are subject to the Virgin’s power”, so we are told by St. Anselm, St. Bernard, St. Bernadine and St. Bonaventure. Is it not reasonable to find that among so many slaves there should be some slaves of love, who freely choose Mary as their Queen? Should men and demons have willing slaves, and Mary have none? A king makes it a point of honor that the queen, his consort, should have her own slaves, over whom she has right of life and death, for honor and power given to the queen is honor and power given to the king. Could we possibly believe that Jesus, the best of all sons, who shared his power with his Blessed Mother, would resent her having her own slaves? Has he less esteem and love for his Mother than Ahasuerus had for Esther, or Solomon for Bethsheba? Who could say or even think such a thing?'
Want to reread the book "True Devotion to Mary" or haven't read it at all? Download the full, un-edited, 67-page version here-- http://www.newjerusalem.com/TrueDevotion97.doc and pour over it.

Peace to all you ANTI-CATHOLIC SHALLOW PENETRATION AGENTS out there!

Trust me, I'm NOT the thread starter....... You can obviously tell someone's "voice"...* Ask the mods and you will see only 2 of my many handles have been used here so far.... I am NOT a Sith. Why even bother denying that if I was using 3? Don't the thread starter and I have common views on Marian devotion? Of course!

But no, I am NOT the thread starter..... I am the Russian grand master of theater who made just one post above, other than that I've always been using my C.I.A. account....

You can block his account for all we care; he's probably NOT gonna message you - but my point is I have no reason to deny that directx is one my accounts, as you already know I have five.... It's just MrBiddle and Konstantine Sergeyevich being operated by myself in this discussion.

Hmm, reminds me of that article by a certain "Bro. Frederico Lasala, SVD"
Well, it wasn't True Devotion to Mary it was "True Life in God" (Vassula Ryden that was referenced in that article), if you saved it...

But I thought the De Montfort material was called "True Devotion to an Icon?"

One other thing, I hope you don't brand people like myself and the people who defend this interpretation of Marian affinities as unbelievers who are "allergic to the virgin" as Ben Garcia would......

No, we believe in Mary and she is Blessed...... but we question the origin of these supposed Visions of the Virgin and the dogmas that explicitly defend them....

Either way, people who reject a single Roman Catholic doctrine are still anathemas nonetheless.

Suuure, so are Catholics who reject Sola Scriptura-- cuts both ways.

Anathemas, they're beautiful, one of God the Holy Spirit's greatest inventions-- rids the One, True, "To be a Christian is to be a Marian" Catholic & Apostolic Church of poisons, like the "Israel of God" doctrine.
