OT: Judas actually may have jumped during his suicide.... in another Gospel the noose is being used to portray his method of self-termination because "hanging himself" is another figure of speech for suicide.

And you thought it was a Bible contradiction didn't you?

read it from CNN last thursday...

The document "implies that Judas only did what Jesus wanted him to do."

The segment sa National Geographic also showed how the 4 Gospels (mathew, mark, luke, john) were "chosen" and the context in which this was done (persecution of the christians, jews).. It mentioned that there were about 30+ gospels but only these 4 were chosen because of their relevance towards what Bishop Irenaeus of Lyon or the preachers at that time deemed necessary for christianity to survive...

My understanding of the process in which these gospels were written were.. what stories were being told at those times... these 4 gospels were simply the "more popular" ones so they made "the cut" so to speak...

I don't know about you but this leaves a lot of room for mis interpretations and "human intervention".

In the same way the gnostics believed that they were communicating directly with God, church leaders might also have thought this when they were sifting through the 30+ gospels at the time and chose what "they thought" would best tell the stories and show the words of God.

ang pag hikog ni hudas is just a sign of coward ug pagka wala sa pag laum which is really not a good example for us and mostly a LESSON for all, but remember he is the apostle too, he is a good man....he is just an instrument para matuman ang prophecy..

I disagree. This Gnostic gospels are not part of Christianity. Gnosticism is a separate movement but it usually hijacks the teachings of other religions. Its like the New Age of today. Gnostics camouflage their true identity by using the language of other religion. Christianity is the target because it is the true religion.

So Gospel of Judas is no big deal for me. Its just one of the frauds used by Gnostics to destroy Christianity. Sadly Gnostics will always attempt to supplant Christianity- - - - in vain.

No big deal again. Unbelievers wont believe in miracles. I have a friend who ask me, " how could you believe in something you cannot explain?" I answered him that there are things that happen in this world that cannot be explained. I made an example of a European priest who doubted that the host in the Eucharist is the Body of Christ. When he ate the host after consecration, he felt something hard and to his shock the host became human flesh and it is still displayed up to this day.

My friend, jolted by this example, quickly told me to shut up. The unbelievers cannot stand when they cannot explain miracles that truly happen.
