1,100,000 as interest only...if you divide that 12 months, that is 91,666 divided by 2...45,833 per 15 days..

If you are disciplined, 45k per 15 days is big enough...

Thnks bro but i prefer active investments for a livelihood.

i know a shipping buisness who runs barges, LCT's for transport of any legal materials around the philippines and they can generate a good income. A 750Tonner Barge can have a revenue of 40,000 per day for a minimum of 8 days usage during entire travel, loading and unloading time.

That would be 8 X 40,000 = 320,000.00 for 8 days operation plus a demurrage rate of another 40,000/day if Â*usage time is not done yet. And this is only the computation for a one whole trip.

If you would charter it would be your's for a month for 1.3m /per month, contract renewable every 15 days

Anyone interested to join?perhaps you have millions out there sitting somewhere, lets make it Billions by the end of the year..

This is very good business. My dad's friend started with only one barge and now he has a fleet of barges and is now a multi-millionaire and this is his only line of business.

it is not our business. it's the business of our family friend. all i can say though it is a good business. i have no idea on how to start this business though. try asking people from the arrastre business or get a "consultant" who is experienced in this industry to get first-hand information and create a more accurate and comprehensive business plan.

when you think of the shipping industry look at the cost of oil.... it keeps rising so to be able to compete with other chartering companies you have to get a cheap source of fuel....

lets juts say you buy 2 barges... those establish shipowners will compete against you until you bleed to death....

look at supercat.... it wasn't able to sustain against the competition....

its a good business if you are able to compete.... like you can match their prices until they also bleed....

starting a business is no joke.... even if you think you are the 1st there is always the competition lurking around....

    cases:

Water refilling.... there are so many already....

    Internet cafe.... daghan napud....

restaurant and grill..... there are a lot also...

have you seen that Drew juice kanang orange..... daghan napud ni sunod....

the worst gyud kaning networking... i won't even bother telling you whats the problem with networking

So always keep in mind there will others that will follow you....

akong recommend nimo nga business nga still viable with good returns...

    1. pension house or hotel.... booming tourism.... there is still shortage of rooms... don't belittle the pension house.... most of the time they are full.....

    2. Massage..... daghan napud nga klasi-klasi nga massage... but they are earning well bisag duol kaayo silang tanan.... kanang dapit sa national bookstore mango avenue.... 4 na sila ka massage dira... but adto didto mag palista paka sometimes.... akong gi ask kinsa ilang mga customer.... mga koreans 4 times a week kasagaran mo anha....

I'll trade commodities, rice to be precise then i'll give 2 yrs time frame kong mka establish bako sa realm of rice trader. Pag maajo ang outcome more funding for expansion.

Good suggestion, that is if you are satisfied with 90k a month. I suggest you consider going into the business, if carefully planned and well executed the yield would definitely be greater than 90k a month.

IRR for most businesses are at 15%-20% which is twice as high as putting the money in some bank or investing in securities and stocks. Aside from that you are generating employment for our countrymen. =)

I agree, pension houses, apartments, bachelors pad or boarding houses are good business. Just make sure it is just walking distance or just a short ride from schools, financial districts & IT parks.

I have a boarding house in a subdivision very near AsiaTown IT Park and it earns very well. We will also have one 5 floor building constructed with commercial spaces on the first floor, offices in the second floor, rooms and bachelor's pads from the third to fifth floor with a roofdeck. It is just 3-5 minute walk from country mall and UC banilad and a short ride to USC-TC, UV medical school, SPI, eTel and PS.

Be sure that your location already have a captured market. With the booming rate that Cebu is going there are more and more people that come here everyday to work and do business so your market will never be saturated.
