Then you must say the the local stations should be careful too in future, because some channels can also be seen in other countries.

but what i don't understand is why filipinos violently react with this kind of humor wherein in our own tv sitcoms, we find humor in making fun of other races, e.g. indians with the 5-6 jokes, black people being considered ugly, etc. IMO, filipino humor is just as "disgraceful and distasteful" as BBC's. while we call for the "re-education" of BBC, we might as well include the "re-education" of ABS-CBN, GMA, etc. while we're at it...

    just my 2 cents...
well, didn't visayan people react violently to Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo also? or was it KKK? this didn't happen the first time u know. i remember quite clearly what happened to the Desperate Housewives scandal. it too stirred a hornet's nest.

let's remember that BBC is worldwide. meaning, their shows are seen globally. and if u r a Pinoy worker in the UK, much more a DH there, u will not only understand why the violent reaction but also make the same reaction.

IMHO, i consider too that BBC comedy show is racist. But it's no big deal for me.

and the Phil Foundation or our phil embassy doing about it is far more acceptable than otherwise. coz not doing about it means they're not doing their jobs.
