Nikon Dxx models are mas pang-beginners coz user friendly kaau then iya pa jud "i-honey coat" ang photos. One click lang, instant nindot na kaau imo picture. If you are using a Nikon cam of this line then bati pa gihapon imo photos, maka-ingon na jud ko na sa user error ra na.

Ang Canon xxxD models on the other hand for me kay mas pang-pro (though dili pa cya pro). Mas challenging siya kay kinahanglan jud nimo na i-costumize cya according sa imo preference para makuha nimo imo desired shot. Mas daghan sab cya ug adjustments na puede nimo mabuhat. Nindot ang photo dipende sa imo pagtimpla.


Kung ganahan ka ug mas vivid na color, go for nikon. Maau cya muluto ug colors.
pero kung ganahan ka ug accurate na color ug mas nice na details, go for canon.
It is really up to you. Ang importante naa kay dslr. Daugon nlang na sa imo lens unya.

I'ved tried it all na... Canon EOS 350D, 400D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 5D, 1D Mark II N, 1D Mark III, 1Ds Mark III... Nikon D40, D40x, D70s, D80, D200, D300, D3...

Canon is better... thats according to our personal tests... and of course.. personal preference...

i too have tried them all...including canon eos D30, D60, 10D, 300D and those canon and nikon mentioned by crashburn including S1pro, S2pro and S3pro fujifilm and some konica/minolta/sony,etc. and olympus.

ive also settled on CANON as the better camera for me. personal taste and preference...

Just what I suspected all along. The low noise capability of the newest high-end Nikon DSLRs is a product of in-camera processing. That means that its RAW (for exposures longer than 1 sec.) is not really RAW.

Nangilad ang Nikon sa ilang high ISO performance. Well, that's what you call marketing hype. Maybe Nikon thinks that even its pro-users and fans (the target market for the D3 and D300) can be hoodwinked.

Don't flame me. I know that the D3 and D300 are excellent cameras. I just hate the ploy. Same thing as the megapixel hype of P&S cameras of recent years.

I am using Canon and will still buy Canon when I have the money for it not because Canon is the best camera there is but because I have a few L lenses (actually, just 2).

Oh, yes, regarding after-sales support. Maybe, Canon's sucks, though, I have yet to experience it. Had mine cleaned in Makati and there was no hitch, but that was perhaps because I was there very early.

You cannot compare a service to another service that is not there. I have friends who are Nikon users that's why I have a high regard for Nikon products. But Nikon has no service center here or anywhere in R.P. When you find one to compare with Canon's let me know. I have friends who would be interested in knowing one, at least.

How come it's only Nikon and Canon when the question is about the best DSLR? I have tried the Hasselblad H2D and it was not bad. Now, they have the H3D.

Actually, they call it Nikonians vs. Canonites. I wonder where are the Olympians, Contacts (for those using Contax), Leicans, Blads (Hasselblad), Mamis (for Mamiya) and Arcans (for Arca Swiss). he he he

In my opinion, i would go for canon... nikon is also a very nice brand... i salute these two brand of cameras but i like canon cameras better... just my opinion... hope you will get a nice camera with your budget... happy shooting...

I use Nikon and personally prefer Nikon DSLR.

There's a Canon service center in Cebu. No official service center for Nikon. If something goes wrong, it's easier if you have a Canon in Cebu. This is from experience as I use point-and-shoot Canon cameras.

For other brands, I know people who switched to Canon or Nikon after trying Olympus or other brands. Simply because there is limited availability of lenses and other accessories.
