hi. just got home. i tried asking around the office, but no one seems to have an adult RES. i'll try asking my brother if he knows someone.

and about the cuttlebone... like veggies, you can overfeed them (never with pellets). they say an RES would stop eating cuttlebone if it feels like it has enough calcium. i dunno if it's true though.. jut make sure you tear off the hard part of the bone.

thanks for helping me and for the tip. I will also try to get them a cuttlebone. I'm thinking if I can feed them with a veggies rich with calcium instead of cuttlebone.. or I can crush eggshells for them.. hehehe para tipid.

dagko-a na gyud diay sa imong mga RES bai uy. unsa ila name? i like the setup. simple yet complete. unsa na nga filter imo gamit?

thanks, bai. I used to have an intricate setup for my RES when they were smaller but when they grew bigger, they began destroying the decorations I placed.

I forgot the brand of the filter pero I use it to clean the smaller debris (waste sa fishes and sa turtles). Its very cheap, gipalit lang nako sa petshop diha sa Manilili St., then I'm using this blue colored cloth (which is sold in the petshop) as filter. I place the ordinary "uling" between two filter pad to remove chlorine and other toxic substances in the water.

I'm making use of ordinary and cheap materials for my pets but comfort, health and safety for my pets are paramount.
