I can only tell you where Grandmaster John Villasin thinks i am at and should i listen to him or you?
You are welcome to contact him and ask him your self, also to hear if he want to train you, but from what i hear he mostly focus on his current students these days (his number is on my website):

Please note that if you are only talking about the Villasin style, then thats not the only thing i teach and as you said i am going to instructor level within Villasin style.....

I am of course more skilled at other styles, i have been within for longer time then the Villasin Style....

But i also know more about the Villasin style then you give me credit for, GM. John told me just yesterday, that i only need the last moves from group 5 and speed in the teaching parts of the Villasin Style before i am at instructor level.....
He sets high demands, according to what he told me, no one has ever gotten a Instructor degree under GM. John Villasin. But some has been close and learned the style, just not completed all the requirements....

By the way, the reason i talk about that i teach and my background is the same reason dbshawarma always goes: "up for Lapunti", i need to advertise like everyone else, about what i do......

What i teach is a mix of Bujinkan (Ninjutsu) and FMA (The Dacayana Eskrima System and i still try to learn and mix in the Villasin Style)......

Dont you know what Spamming is.....?!?!?
I said to dbshawarma that repeating the same ad over and over again is spamming, thats not what i am doing.....
I tell about me, my background and my style(s) in my posts so they are informative........
Now if you did read what i was trying to suggest to dbshawarma, then it was a friendly advice of doing the same thing so he would not just appear like a spammer...........

I was giving a answer to a "direct question" from JIGS.....
I dont think any wise Martial Artist would start to brag about what fights he has been in or how "battle tested" he is in other ways. But lets just say that if you take your Martial Arts as serious as i do and have been within the game for that long, then we all have our scars....
But you are welcome to join my training anytime and find out for your self and so is cardwell164 (if he wants to and is more focused, this time), my training is open for everyone to try and the serious ones can stay......
I dont hide things from my students and give a lot back to them so i expect them to be serious also....

I also said above that its not about ranks or belts, since it does not show your skills. The only thing that shows skills is to try training with each other, everybody can lie about fights or background and get certificates to easy these days (Just look at Ashida Kim or Frank Dux)....
That is why i tell people to come and train with me in a good spirit and for free, then they can know i am for real....

PS. Now if you read my complete profile at: About Me | www.fma-arnis.dk (not just the post), you might also notice some of these people i had as instructors are known to create good fighters and "battle test" them...

im not trying to look for a fight here sir.the thing is that you are advertising yourself to everyone.then you get questioned,and regard it as an insult. to tell you honestly sir,i have been mugged and got hit 3 times ( as in, gisi jud ako kilay). but still im here posting in this thread. its not the complexity of techniques that matters,it is the tactics. its about thinking of the easiest way to get out of a mess. and im never proud of being mugged before and maayo unta ugdili nato mausabkay bati jud to nga panghitaboa

Mao na ang uban dili na mamalik kay gawas nga pasakitan nga imbis ganahan ka motagam naman hinoon ka, ang pagsugod sa pag-tuon ambak-ambak.

Dili man siya kabasa ani, iya pani isugilon sa iyang minahal nga asawa. Busa misis pasabta cya niini nga dili pud dayon mo-ulbo iyang kaspa diha. Lisud cya nga pagkatawo basi sa akong nabantayan. Daghang salamat sa pag-basa.
